STEPS Christmas Party - STEPS Weihnachtsfeier

On December 23 we held a Christmas Party for all the STEPS children and their parents. We played games, did question & answer quizzes, relay races, sang carols, told the story of the 1st Christmas and ate a yummy snack! The highlight was of course gift-giving! As you can see on the pictures, not only did the children enjoy the celebration! Some of the parents gave testimonies of how much their children had learned, and how much they appreciated all the input and teaching they had received this year!

Am 23. Dezember feierten wir Weinachten mit unseren STEPS Kindern und ihren Eltern. Nebst Ratespielen, Staffellauf, Tanzen und Geschichten erzählen sangen wir auch zusammen ein paar Weihnachtslieder und assen einen herzhaften Snack. Der Höhepunkt war natürlich das Geschenkeverteilen! Die Bilder verraten, dass nicht nur die Kinder, sondern auch die Eltern Freude hatten! Einige der Eltern betonten ihre Dankbarkeit für alles, was ihre Kinder gelernt hatten, und freuten sich am Erfolg ihrer Kinder!

Some of the STEPS children had never received any gift for Christmas. Needless to say, the many gifts they each received this year were a great joy to them! - Einige der STEPS Kinder hatten noch nie ein Geschenk erhalten. Unnötig zu erklären wie gross die Freude der Kinder war über die vielen Geschenke! 

STEPS Kindergarten Teacher Seminar

Manny was recently in Manila for a Kindergarten Teacher seminar. He shared the STEPS program with 10 new teachers. Their goal is to open 4 new STEPS centers in Metro Manila. - Jo war für eine Woche in Manila, um dort 10 Lehrer in unser STEPS Programm einzuführen. Sie haben vor, 4 neue STEPS Schulen in Metromanila aufzumachen!

STEPS Mariveles

Since more than a week we have a new teacher with us: Andreina, Meeky´s sister. She is helping with the STEPS in Mariveles, Dauis. - Sein über einer Woche ist Adnreina, Meeky´s Schwester, bei uns und hilft beim STEPS Unterricht in Mariveles, Dauis, mit.

 Andreina is 20 and came to help us in our STEPS school - Andreina ist 20 und kam, um uns in unserer STEPS Schule mitzuhelfen.

 Meeky is teaching our little neighbor girl to read - Meeky lehrt einem unserer Nachbarmädchen zu lesen. 

New STEPS Teachers - Neue STEPS Lehrer

To promote the STEPS program and help many others profit from it, we introduce new teachers to the STEPS educational program. We have 4 STEPS mothers who are being taught by Manny. - Um viele andere vom STEPS Program profitieren zu lassen, lehren wir jetzt neue Lehrerinnen. Manny hat 4 STEPS Mütter, welche er in unser STEPS Schulungsprogramm einführt.
